Postdoctoral Positions

We are looking for postdoctoral scholars who will lead projects in the application of hyperpolarized NMR to the topic areas of medicinal chemistry, and catalysis and materials characterization. Candidates with expertise in one of the above areas who would like to learn a new state-of-the-art analysis method, or candidates who are experts in NMR and are interested in developing a new application area, are highly encouraged to apply. Our research group is pushing the envelope of how fundamental questions in chemistry and the life sciences can be solved by NMR. Hyperpolarization provides a large increase in the sensitivity of detection, which enables new applications in time-resolved and multi-dimensional NMR spectroscopy. You will design and implement experimental methods and technology that integrate hyperpolarization methods such as dynamic nuclear polarization and parahydrogen induced polarization with NMR detection to achieve these goals. The position requires a PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant field including but not limited to Chemistry, Physics or related Engineering disciplines. The project will allow you to gain experience in new analytical technologies in a rapidly developing field. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will mentor graduate students and will be expected to provide your own creative solutions to problems and to project direction. You should subscribe and support our commitment to Inclusive Excellence. We invite you to apply to be considered for this opportunity. Interested candidates are invited to submit a CV and brief cover statement to chilty@tamu.edu
