Jingbo (Louise) Liu Received her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2001. She was promoted to a full Professor at Texas A&M University-Kingsville (TAMUK) due to her contribution to materials preparation, characterization, and applications. Currently, she is also appointed as adjunct professor at the Texas A&M Energy Institute. She has been awarded as the Chattered Scientist, Chattered Chemist, and recognized as the Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. She was also awarded as faculty fellow by the Direct Energy and Biological Institute (DEBI) at the US Air Force Research Laboratory. She has authored and co-authored, books (6 and 4 text books), book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles (> 100). During her 12.5-year services in TAMUK, she taught > 10,500 students and trained some of them (200) to conduct leading-edge research. She directed, co-directed and/or participated in projects (>45) supported by the National Science Foundation (US and China), NSERC (CANADA), ACS Petroleum Research Funds, and Department of Education. In 2018, Dr. J. Liu served as the program chair of the Energy and Fuels (ENFL) Division and currently the current ENFL division Chair, American Chemical Society (ACS).
