Suggestions:
Don't wait until the last minute! to do the lab report and the prelab. Read over the lab procedure and explanations before doing the prelab.
Visit the First Year Chemistry Help Desk in Room 116 Heldenfels, from 8:30-12:30 pm and 1:30-4:30 pm daily (Fridays - just in the morning), if you have problems concerning the lab or the lecture.
Listen to the introductory discussion led by your T.A. at the beginning of lab and take notes. Ask questions during the discussion. If you can't hear because the fume hoods are too loud, pull your chair up to the front - noone will mind. Ask your T.A. for help during the lab if you don't understand something and express to her/him your willingness to learn.
The quizzes cover material from your prelabs, lab reports, postlabs and recitation material. So, make a copy of your prelab and lab report to help you study for your quizzes and final exam BEFORE you hand them in. You may not get them back in time for studying. Also, study old quizzes.
