Hye Jeong received her B.S. (2006), M.S. (2008), and Ph.D. (2012) from the Department of Chemistry of Seoul National University (SNU), Republic of Korea. Her gradurate studies under the guidance of Prof. Myunghyun Paik Suh were focused on the design and synthesis of porous crystalline materials and their application in gas storage and separation as well as crystal dynamics. In 2013, she worked with Prof. Makoto Fujita of University of Tokyo on site-specific metal incorporation on natural protein surfaces to solve phase problem in protein X-ray crystallography. In 2014, she moved to Prof. Jeffrey R. Long’s group as a joint postdoc between University of California, Berkeley (UCB) and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), where she investigated the cost efficient aqueous synthesis and scale up of metal-organic frameworks for commercialization and industrial application. In 2016, she joined the Powers group at Texas A&M University.
