Former Ozerov Group Members
Weixing Gu
Weixing Gu was born and raised in Shanghai, China. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Fudan University. His research at Fudan was focused on the study of polymeric materials. During his Master’s research, Weixing worked in the Laboratory for Advanced Materials at Fudan, investigating composite materials made of quantum dots and conjugated polymers. Weixing joined our group at Brandeis in the Spring of 2007 and moved to Texas A&M in January of 2009. His research at TAMU involved development of novel polydentate ligands containing boron and silicon, as well as investigations of aluminum-catalyzed C-F activation reactions. He received his Ph.D. in September 2011, and left soon after for a postdoctoral position at Northwestern University under Dr. Tobin Marks.
