Sophia White
Sophia White is a native of St. Louis. She earned her B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of Wyoming in 2002. Following graduation she spent two years with the Peace Corps in Ghana prior to joining the Chemistry department at Brandeis in 2004. She joined the Ozerov group in the Spring of 2004 and worked on the synthesis of model compounds related to the Si-catalyzed C-F activation studies. Sophia had always been interested in pursuing a teaching career. She graduated with an M.S. degree in Chemistry in May of 2006 and taught at Somerville High School and served as an Adjunct Instructor in the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences during the following year. In the summer of 2007 she moved back to St. Louis to pursue her graduate studies in the Wash U Chemistry Department.
