Rodrigo is a native of Mexico City. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in 2006. He was accepted to Texas A&M in 2007 and joined the Ozerov group in May 2009. His current research deals with the synthesis of highly reactive, coordinatively unsaturated complexes of ruthenium(II) supported by a pincer-carbene ligand, and the quest for potential catalytic applications for those species.
