Former Ozerov Group Members

 

 Remle Çelenligil-Çetin

 

Remle Çelenligil-Çetin spent over a year in 2003-2004 in the Ozerov group as a postdoctoral associate.  She was the first ever postdoc to join the group.  Remle earned her B.S. in Chemistry from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey in 1995.  She then went on to Boston University where she earned her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in chemistry, graduating in 2003.   At BU, she worked in the group of Prof. Pericles Stavropoulos.  In the Ozerov group, she primarily worked with PNP complexes of ruthenium.  Towards the end of her tenure she pioneered our studies of C-X oxidative addition to (PNP)Rh.  Remle also worked with Valerie Scott on the C-F activation chemistry.  Remle is now gainfully employed in her native Turkey in the Koç high school, one of the most affluent high schools in the country.
