Former Ozerov Group Members

Mayank Puri  

Mayank Puri joined the Ozerov group in May of 2006.  He studied oxidative addition of aryl halides to Rh(I), particularly with an eye towards understanding the mechanism and the selectivity.  In his free time, Mayank was a DJ at WBRS 100.1 FM Waltham, the Brandeis radio station, and a bassist in Hottpants, Jukebox!  In 2006/07, Mayank spent his year abroad at University College London.  He came back in full force for the summer of 2007.  Mayank performed an exhaustive Hammett study of the oxidative addition of aryl halides to Rh(I).  He graduated with highest honors with a BA/MS degree in May of 2008 and went to work at QD Vision in nearby Watertown, MA.
