Morgan MacInnis

 

Morgan obtained his BSc degree in 2006 from Cape Breton University in Nova Scotia.  From there he went to Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia to work for Dr. Laura Turculet to pursue his PhD.  His research at Dalhousie focused on the synthesis of ruthenium complexes supported by bis(phosphino)silyl pincer-type ligands.  He completed his PhD in August of 2011, then headed to Texas for a postdoc appointment at Texas A&M.  His research in the Ozerov group focused on using silylium carborane compounds in the hydrodefluorination of sp3 C-F bonds. He left the group at the end of August 2013 for a position as Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Alberta in Edmonton under Dr. Rylan Lundgren.
