Emily J. Pelton

 

Emily Pelton was a student at Gustavus Adolphus College (Class of 2008), in St. Peter, Minnesota.  She spent the summer of 2007 in the Ozerov group as a participant in the Brandeis REU program in catalysis.  While at Brandeis, Emily investigated the chemistry of PNP complexes of hafnium with an eye towards alkylidenes.  She was able to prepare several previously elusive hafnium complexes and presented her results at the ACS meeting in Boston.  After graduating from Gustavus, Emily decided to pursue her PhD studies at the University of Minnesota.
