Former Ozerov Group Members

Christos Douvris

Chris Douvris is a native of Greece where he received his undergraduate training at Univeristy of Ioannina.  He then departed for the University of Illinois at Chicago for graduate work.  Chris obtained his M.S. degree in 2000 and a Ph.D. degree in 2004 working with Prof. Morrison.  Following his defense, Chris spent two years as a postdoctoral fellow in the group of Prof. Chris Reed at University of California – Riverside.  Chris joined our group in January 2007.  He brought to our group his expertise in the chemistry of carboranes and fluorinated organometallics.  Chris was primarily involved in the homogeneous C-F activation project where he made critical breakthroughs involving the use of carborane anions.  In June of 2008, Chris left the group for a postdoctoral position with Prof. Michl at University of Colorado.
