C. M. Nagaraja
Nagaraj is a native of India, the state of Karnataka. He received a B.Sc. degree in 1998 and his M.Sc. degree in 2000 from Bangalore University. In 2001, he commenced his Ph.D. studies at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore. At IISc, he worked under the guidance of Prof. Balaji R. Jagirdar, studying heterolytic activation of H-H, H-B, H-Si, and H-C bonds in small molecules at electrophilic transition metal centers. Nagaraj received his Ph.D. degree in August of 2007 and joined the Ozerov group two months later. At Brandeis, Nagaraj explored the potential of new pincer ligand designs in catalysis and the mechanism of electrophilic C-F activation.
