Marcetta Darensbourg has been selected to receive the 2006 Distinguished Achievement College-Level Awards in Teaching from The Association of Former Students. Each fall, The Association of Former Students honors outstanding faculty members for their dedication to teaching. They are recognized for their talent, expertise and devotion on conveying knowledge to students. Since the program's inception in 1982, 619 awards have been given totaling $1.24 million. Each recipient recieves $2,000 and a framed certificate.
Dr. Darensbourg's award will be presented at the College of Science Faculty and Staff meeting to be held in early fall 2006.
