October
29-30, 2007
The
aim of the Symposium is two-fold: to provide an overview of current
research at Texas A&M University and to introduce our senior
graduate students and post-doctoral associates to industrial recruiters.
The program includes oral and poster presentations given by graduate
and undergraduate students and post-doctoral fellows from more than
30 research groups and covers a wide variety of topics: natural
products and biological chemistry; catalysis, polymers, and analytical
chemistry; coordination chemistry and organometallics; instrumentation
and spectroscopy; kinetic, mechanistic and structural studies; surface
science and solid state chemistry and chemical synthesis.
The symposium is intended for industrial recruiters, research scientists,
and students and faculty from neighboring institutions. There will
be opportunities to visit different research groups and to interview
graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
