Oral
Presentations Procedures
Senior
graduate students and postdoctoral research
associates
are invited to apply for the opportunity to give
an oral presentation and share their research
at the 2006 IUCCP Symposium. Oral presentations
will include a fifteen-minute presentation of
the students research followed by a three
to five minute question and answer period.
If there are oral presentation abstracts that
are not chosen, they will be placed in the
poster presentation session. Abstracts will
be selected on the basis of scientific merit,
originality of research, and neatness.
Guidelines for Oral and Poster Abstracts
- Submissions
of the same abstract by different authors will
VOID all oral presentations for ALL authors.
- If
more than one author, the presenter's full name
must be listed first.
- Abstracts
will ONLY BE ACCEPTED IF SUBMITTED ONLINE.
- All
student abstracts need to be reviewed and approved
by the student's advisor/research mentor before
submission to IUCCP.
- Body
text of an abstract has a limit of 175 words.
- Re-submission
of an abstract to make corrections or changes
is not permitted.
- Do
not use abbreviations.
- State
findings in detail sufficient to support conclusions.
- Students
wishing to present must be registered for
the 2006 IUCCP Symposium.
- Graphics
are acceptable.
Format
- Abstracts
must be in 12 point Times New Roman (or Times).
Title
- Do
not use abbreviations.
- Title
must be in all uppercase.
Author
- If
more than one author, the presenter's full name
must be listed first.
Body
- Briefly
describe the objectives of the research.
- Include
a brief statement of methods if pertinent.
- State
findings in detail sufficient to support conclusion.
