Second Year Students
In the second year, emphasis shifts to research, though students will generally complete coursework, cumulative exams, and selection of an advisory committee. In the second year all students are required to present a Literature Survey Seminar to the Department. Students must also participate in the Frontiers Seminar Series. A degree plan must be submitted to the Graduate Student Office. Also the teaching requirement must be completed by the end of the second year.
