Program Description

This program will feature biological chemistry, environmental chemistry, and materials science as focus areas. Approximately ten rising undergraduate students, primarily from small colleges, universities, and junior colleges will be selected to participate in this summer program.  A major strength of our department is the size and diversity of our program, which offers research opportunities in a range of disciplines. In addition, the Department of Chemistry has extensive instrumentation and services that are essential to ensuring a rewarding research experience. From our prospective, we plan to offer undergraduates a unique experience in what promises to be cutting edge research areas for the 21st century.
