                Teaching chemistry at the college freshman level.  Chemical Education.  Analytical chemistry.  Analysis of hydrocarbons and pesticides in environmental samples.  Petroleum contamination of water and organisms.  Characterization and analysis of trace metals in petroleum.  Application of high performance liquid chromatography to petroleum and pigment separations.  Chemistry of stable and radioactive trace elements in natural water and sediments.
