This Year's Theme: "The Many Faces of Chemistry"

Our 20th Annual Chemistry Open House and Science Exploration Gallery will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2007 beginning at 9:45am in the foyer of the old part of the main Chemistry Building by the 3 round brick fountains, called the H₂O fountains. (This is not the Heldenfels building).
Parking is getting tricky. Free parking is located in the lot behind Zachary (don't park in reserved spots); paid parking is in the Northside parking garage on University Ave. next to the Blocker building - you pay BEFOREHAND (Parking/Building Map).

***WARNING - Ross Street is under major construction. There will be signs guiding you to the Chem Department.***

An All-You-Can-Eat Lunch Buffet is available at Sbisa Dining Hall in case you get hungry and want to eat with Aggies! We will have $1 off discount coupons for Sbisa and other campus eateries at the Welcome Table.

Start your adventures by checking in at the Welcome Table and getting your bag of chemistry goodies.
Three Chemistry Road Shows, featuring weird polymers, super cold materials and other exciting demonstrations will be in Room 100 of the main Chemistry building at 10am, 12 noon and 2pm.
Door prizes will be given out at all three shows.
We are sorry, but there is no handicapped access to Room 100. There are stairs.

Other activities at Chemistry Open House and Science Exploration Gallery will be underway between 10:00am and 3:00pm.
They will include lots of hands-on and computer activities, guided lab tours, and demonstrations.
Departments involved are Chemistry (of course), Physics, Biology and other sciences.

2:30-3pm Lucas Macri, National Optical Astronomy Observatory "How to Measure the Age of the Universe"

4pm Don Brownlee, University of Washington "Stardust"
