" Dr. K-K is my favorite professor by far. She wants you to do well. This class is kinda a lot of work but it's worth it to take her because she'll actually teach you something!" - 11/01/2002

" I would definately recommend Dr. Kennicut, she is a great teacher especially if you are quick and have a desire to learn. She culls from her tests and lectures less usefull or pertinent stuff and keeps to core materials. She is very much a hippie, homeopathic medicine, makers her own soap, and treats people like human beings, GREAT!" - 05/05/2002

" Dr. K-K is the BEST~! She explains everything to a level that most people can understand. (I say most b/c there are always those people that dont understand anything). She has her notes, which she uses in class, on the web to print for your use. Everything that is on the notes is all you have to know. She is very helpful when you need her assistance and is a very Cheerful person.(She's a HIPPIE) ;) That makes her all that much more Friendly. Test are similar to the old exams and there are NO TRICKS! TAKE HER! She is the BEST! I expect at least a B+ , working on the A." - 04/18/2002

" Dr. KK is the coolest teacher I have had so far. I went into Chem 101 expecting it to be really hard. But she explains everything and every note she writes on the board comes from her notes on the internet, so class is really easy to follow. The textbook comes with an answer key, that she wrote, and all of your homework problems, 3 sets, are answered in detail. She gives three exams and a final that are all similar to the past exams that she gives you on her website. If you miss the exam because you were sick or simply because you felt you were not ready, she gives a second version later that you can take with no penalty. I am going to take her for Chem 102, and I suggest that you all do the same. She is very smart and keeps you awake and interested with her humurous comments. Take her and you wont regret it!!!" - 04/02/2002

" Dr. Keeney-Kennicut is the best prof I have ever had. I am not a fan of chemistry, but I am enjoying it AND learning it in her class. She is very enthusiastic about what she teaches and gives wonderful explanations in many different ways until everyone understands the material. The tests are fair - not easy, not too hard. Even if you don't do well on the tests, there are many opportunities to boost your grade. She is very nice, fun, and willing to help (she's available almost all the time)." - 03/26/2002

" I'm a junior and I have had my fair share of prof's at A&M and what I have to say is that Dr. K is phenominal! She is awesome! Whatever you do, take Dr. K. She is extremely fair. Extremely thorough. She actually cares that you learn the material. She is a dying breed at Texas A&M -- a professor that actually cares about her students... what will they think of next?? Study her old tests and you'll do fine. Study her notes. She has group quizzes in class, so make sure that you go for those. Chem skill builder is a pain in the rear but not much you can do about that. A++++ Prof. as far as I'm concerned. 3 tests plus a cumulative final!" - 03/13/2002

" I have now had Dr. Kennicutt for CHEM 101 & CHEM 102, and she is still the best prof. I have ever had here at A&M. She lectures very well, and you can follow along in her extremely step-by-step notes off the web. She is very personable in office hours. There are lots of grade enhancing opportunities with quizzes and homework (which is all done for you in detail in the student solutions manual). You can get partial credit on both the free response and multiple choice parts of her tests. The labs do take some effort, but aren't horrible. I wish she could teach other subjects so I could take her in those too!" - 01/20/2002

" Dr. K is great! She is interesting and loves Chemistry. She will help you with anything at any time. You can print her notes off the web and she has her old tests available too. I have had her two semesters and would definately reccommend her to anyone." - 12/09/2001

" Dr. K was the best chem prof I have ever had in any sort of institution. She is a very fun lady to talk to and she cares about whether you learn or not! I would recommend her to anyone that has to take chem 101 or 102. I would go so far as to saying she is the best prof I have had at A&M. Her tests are difficult, but if you study the notes , do the old tests, and ask questions during her 12 hour long office hours, you'll do just fine in her class." - 12/04/2001

" Dr. Kennicut is the best professor I've ever had. I am a chemistry major and I can definately tell she knows what she is talking about. She holds a review session EVERY Sunday to go over the weeks material and the lab from that week. If you go to the review she'll answer most of the questions for the lab reports and she does a great job on the Sundays before the tests. She curves final grades upward so an 84 or so is an A. She has a website with her own past exams and answers along with her notes from the class so that you can download them and print them off. She lectures with overheads that she writes during class. She gives 3 exams and a final. They are 60 percent multiple choice and 40 percent free response. We have no required homework other than the lab reports. She does have homework you can do for extra credit. I would highly recommend her." - 11/19/2001

What is the Usefulness Rating?
The usefulness rating is derived from both a rank that is assigned to each review by Pick-A-Prof when the review is accepted and by the votes that Pick-A-Prof members have given for each review. Members can vote whether a review was useful or not by selecting either the thumbs up or the thumbs down that is located beneath each review. All review usefulness ratings are updated every 24 hours to reflect what members think about each review.
