- 2013 Distinguished Graduate Student award applications should be submitted to Dr. Gabbai by March 8, 2013 (Interntal deadline). Please provide both a hard copy and an electronic copy of your application. For details, see pages 1-3 of OGS2013.pdf.
- 2013 George W. Kunze Prize applications should be submitted to Dr. Gabbai by March 8, 2013 (Interntal deadline). Please provide both a hard copy and an electronic copy of your application. For details, see pages 7-8 of OGS2013.pdf.
- 2013 Phil Gramm Fellowship applications should be submitted to Dr. Gabbai by February 22, 2013 (Interntal deadline). Please provide both a hard copy and an electronic copy of your application. For details, see pages 4-6 of OGS2013.pdf.
- Nominations are solicited for the 2013 Office of Graduate Studies Montgomery Award (click here for details). This material is also be available from the OGS website.
- Nominations are solicited for the 2013 Division of Organic Chemistry Graduate Research Symposium. If you would like to be considered, please provide items 1 and 2 (application form + letter; see: http://organicdivision.org/grs ) of the application package by March 1, 2013. The documents should be delivered to Dr. Gabbai's office. Please make sure to provide a paper copy of your application.
- Nominations are solicited for the Spring 2013 (New Orleans ACS meeting) graduate student travel award program of the ACS Division of Organic Chemistry (ORGN) (http://www.organicdivision.org/?nd=travel_awards#gradtravel). Faculty members interested in nominating one of their students should submit a pre-selection packet to Gabbai's office (Room 1332) by November 5, 2012. The pre-selection packet should consist of:
1) A cover page containing on separate lines: a) the candidate's first and last name, b) the name of the advisor, c) the candidate's GPA, d) the number of publications, e) the number of publications on which the candidate is the first author, f) the most important previous awards received by the candidate, g) references of the five most important papers published by the candidate.
2) The candidate's resume including a list of publications and presentations.
3) A nominating letter from the student's research advisor.
